Furkidz!

Autumn Redd looking good after many many months of illness! Finally her fur has grown back and she has lost the weight of the steroids the stinking vet gave her.
Jackson noshes on his first catmint harvest of the season. He sure can sniff it out!

A double yolker!

The girls are starting to lay once again. And, one of them is a hardy layer! My only concern is I hope she does not become egg bound with the size of the eggs she is producing. Being bound can kill a chicken! A great article recently in Mother Earth News reports that free range hens lay eggs higher in calcium Vit. C and vit E. All the great sunshine as well as grazing on delicacies! The eggs are so orange and the whites stand plump! Fresh and healthy! I think we'll have a quiche tomorrow for Sabbath lunch!

Springing forth!

The top pic is a view of a baby blue crocus on the left and a snow drop on the right. Barely visible with the wood shavings there. The bottom pic is of yellow crocus. They have been a delight to behold after a what seems to have been a long long winter. Soon, very soon, more will burst forth from their winter slumber to bring joy to the eye and the soul. Gods timing is always on time!

A Job well done!

These three pics were an antique set circa 1910. I did this for a house on the Cape. The chair was especially challenging. Thankfully it is done!

Baby Quilt Sampler

Top lt -Pieced Star top rt-goose on pond
middle lt- Dutch Puzzle middle rt=8 Point Star
bottom lt-Ohio star II bottom rt- Broken dishes

A very good friend is having her first grand baby, so in honor of the new addition who is almost here, I made a baby quilt for the shower today. It was alot of work, though worth it. The only remorse I have is giving it away. I become attached to the projects I make, in a weird way. One day I will make a sampler quilt for myself, or better yet our own grand baby! A few different angles of pics were taken to get the quilting effect. Though not perfect, it is made with love. Maybe Christina will have it live at Kathie's house in grand moms crib! God bless the new A. Baby! This will keep you warm and cozy!
