My neighbor had bought an unfinished quilt top she wanted backed without adding batting, a summer coverlet she wanted. Reluctantly, I backed this with muslin and tied the top to it with quilt floss. I made pillow shams and the green pillow with the blue inset and stripe flange trip instead of a ruffle. The duster is a lightly ruffled natural muslin, the chaise in the corner is a blue, cream and yellow stripe that matches in color. Another fun project!

A quilt for Dad
<
I love all the fabrics I used in this. Scraps from work that I fell in love with and saved for a purpose. Dad had a birthday coming up last August when we went to the lake. I brought a tin of his favorite cookies, oatmeal raisin just for him, and this lap quilt and feather pillow! It was a happy birthday for Dad~
Bridesmade Dress reworked!
A friend, Elena, had a dress she wore in a wedding. The bride since has had a baby girl. Elena called asking what we could do with the brides maid dress. She bought a soft terry polka dot, sent that and the dress to me as some batting for stuffing. I made the ruffle on the terry polka dot, the pillow all made from the dress, a pillow insert made with the bamboo batting and the doll! The doll has a pinafore made from the dress also! She wanted a garter for a gift when the child grows up and marries one day! A fun project, the dress was tea length and a size 6, so not much to work with! What a fun project to work on! Thanks for the challenge Elena!
