'09 Harvst

We have a vase full of flowers from the garden. Daisies, Peonies, Iris, purple, blue and pink. The fragrance is great! Also we have some lettuce mix and spicy mesclun! Great Taco Salad tonight!

Walt helping out in the garden this year. I was so fatigued by the flu, it was good to have help in preparation for planting! It was great to have another strong back and large pair of hands!

The top pic is of the bass hubbyc aught off the little dock at our cabin. A stinky worm does it every time.

Long Pond, Willsboro NY

A fishing trip on Memorial Day weekend! Lots of fun, fair amount of fish, a little to much wind, a bit of rain, but an amazing great time! I love this place! Cabin 3, otherwise known as Perch. Built in 1999 because a tree took out the original #3cabin. In our cabin we had myself, hubby, brother Jack and wife Chris, mother and Bessie B. Beagle. Steve, "Berta and her dad Bob with Annie the cat were 4 cabins down.

Juvenile Snapper

Yesterday Autumn the Reddawg goes flying outside through her doggy door. I go after her because that normally means Jackson the black Cat has something he shouldn't have and that she wants to crunch down before I can retrieve and set it free. Well, as you can see in the photos there is a small snapping turtle. I at first thought she might be a box turtle but upon getting 'closer' it was obvious she was not. Jackson was somewhat interested but not like the dog who had a demanding OFF, LEAVE IT command! Good cowgirl! After sometime she, the turtle, gained her strength and made her way to the pond. I do think its a bit early to be laying eggs, but nature really knows best. A sign of a dry summer maybe?

Gardens Alive!

Some views of the rock garden filling in and growing well. I am thrilled thus far! I like the soft overgrown old English look. As if its been there quite awhile. A few more things to add and just keep weeding.
