Peas

The peas have been very successful this year, probably all the rain, hot days and cool nights contributing to this. We have enjoyed them most every night now and lunches to boot. I like the fact the plants stayed short, making harvest pleasant. Soon to be no more, though they will be planted for a fall harvest.

I use a nitrogen boost when planting plus all the high nitrogen chicken droppings put on all winter!

Maybe I need more nitrogen or a better source of it. What we did was to use the waste water from my little fish pond...and we do container gardening, so there is no water wasted in areas where there are no plants...next year, no containers...all in the ground, I hope. VBG
